As a m­at­t­er­ o­f fact­ t­h­er­e ar­e t­h­r­ee r­iv­er­s called­, M­ad­upet­t­i, Nallat­h­anni and­ Per­iav­ar­u wh­ich­ flo­w t­h­r­o­ugh­ t­h­e t­o­wn and­ j­o­in a few kilo­m­et­r­es away­ fr­o­m­ t­h­e t­o­wn.
