However, it was in the 17th century, that the name was changed to Bombay by the British. In the year 1995, the place was given back its former glory as a Maratha state by renaming it Mumbai.

Covering a total area of 468 kilometer squares, Mumbai enjoys a tropical climate with two main seasons-the dry and the humid. With a majestic presence on the shores of the Arabian Sea, the coastline of Mumbai consists of a number of creeks and bays. Life is fast paced here and time is money.
